OMHA states that: Effective January 31, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. Ontario will begin the process of gradually easing restrictions, while maintaining protective measures, including but not limited to: Increasing or maintaining capacity limits at 50 per cent in indoor public settings, including but not limited to: Non-spectator areas of sports and recreational fitness facilities, including gyms; Allowing spectator areas of facilities such as sporting events, concert venues and theaters to operate at 50 per cent seated capacity or 500 people, whichever is less. Existing safety measures such as social distancing and masking will remain in place. Effective January 4, 2022, the use of the enhanced COVID-19 vaccine certificate with QR code and the Verify Ontario app has been required where proof of vaccination is required…
Trent Hills arenas: All previous guidelines are still in place. Meaning, QR codes required EVERY time you enter the arena (WMHA fully supports all municipal stuff working the front door), half capacity for spectators, masking while in the building, social distance, following the decals of the directions to follow, no shower, etc. If you need a more detailed explanation please reach out or search for the last statement sent regarding protocols.
To reiterate from WMHA you, your player and any guest MUST complete a Sportsheadsz screening prior to entering the arena. This is non-negotiable. Every team will have in place someone to check that the Sportsheadz has been completed. If your representative is not at the arena before you PLEASE do not enter the arena until they are present. The arena staff will not let you in. With the half capacity being in place for spectators, as much as we understand and appreciate your family’s want to attend all games, be mindful of the limit so that other families don’t miss out. Games will not be rescheduled due to time restraints. U11 and U13 will start with Round Robin playoffs. The scheduling meeting is Jan 31st, U9 Full Ice Scheduling Meeting is Feb 1st. Hockey School & Saturday Skills resumes Feb 5thPractices resume Feb 1st & 2ndSchedules will be posted ASAP please check our website and Facebook page.View insights0 post reachLikeCommentShareThis article has been viewed 535 times.
